Very, very tough. My scene partner is 4'11" with tiny hands and these work great for full suspension with thrashing. She can hold on to the vertical straps so as not to slip out, but chooses not to and her fists are still secure. I needed to work the leather for a while to make it possible to use the tightest setting, but that's a good sign the leather is thick and strong. The trick is to make sure the buckle side overlaps the strap side. We also wore the cuffs around and house & played with them to get the leather to loosen up before the first suspension. My wife has freakishly small wrists. Most cuffs don’t close tight enough to actually restrain her, she usually just plays along and acts like she’s stuck. But these are a rare find that actually close enough. Plus the padding and the fur means she can be hung for longer. Highly recommended.
