Start with the ring. Four come in the box, 1.8 inches of inner diameter out to 2.3, and the one you choose decides whether the rest works. Too loose and the cage drags on him all day. Too tight and he will be telling you about it inside the hour.

The cage itself is soft TPE on a rigid polycarbonate ring, clear from end to end. That is the part that matters once he is locked, because you can see exactly how he is sitting in it without unlocking anything to find out. The body is cut away along its length and the tip left open. He showers and uses the bathroom in it.

The harness is the other half of it. A waist strap from 24 to 80 inches, a crotch strap from 11 to 20, and the cage stays held against him rather than hanging off the ring. Two keys arrive with the lock, and what you do with the second is the point.

He can get out of it if he sets his mind to it, the same as every smooth soft cage ever made. The lock is for the agreement between you, not the engineering.

Expert Tip: Build up to it rather than locking him in overnight on day one. An hour or two first, then off to check for rubbing, then six hours, then a night. Take it off for pain, for bluing of the balls, or for swelling that does not settle. Keep both keys within reach.
