With gentle to moderate suction, they're firm grips for tugging, toying with, and even hanging light weights off of. Going harder makes for a better wake-up call than a double espresso, but remember not to leave them in that state for more than a few minutes--I left them on a bit long once and they left rings that took weeks to heal up. My mistake, not the product's, but learn from it! One caveat is that they don't age well. Whatever they're made of eventually hardens, making them more difficult to use and sharper around the edges.
