For wife's use: this system works great! A COPD patient, we can move the restraints anywhere along the top, bottom and/or sides of the split queen mattress* to accommodate her pleasure (breathing for those who do not practice breath play is kind of vital, to put it mildly). Making sure wife cannot use her toes to release the restraints is now a given after the first time she freed herself.
For hubby's use: as another writer said, he turned the mattress into a taco. Strong people aren't really restrained by this system. While it was funny to watch him get loose, he shouldn't be able to do it at all. We have yet to try the full queen width to see if he can turn it into a taco.
* - we use an adjustable split queen mattress as it allows both sides of the bed to rise/set with the desires of its sleepers. Wife sleeps as close to upright as she can get. Hubby sleeps flat on his stomach, unless suffering from acid reflux where he sleeps at ~20° on his back. While it is technically a queen frame, there are two mattresses within that frame allowing autonomous head/foot adjustments.
