I'd been looking for gags my wife could wear longer term. This isn't perfect, but it's the best we've used by a wide margin. She finds the shape and slick surface pleasant and it's easy to clean in the dishwasher. She's able to sleep overnight while wearing it, without waking to a sore jaw and a coating on the insert. It doesn't show in the photographs, but the reduced diameter where the teeth rest on the shaft allows one to close the mouth more than with most gags. This is important to avoid TMJ problems.
