It's my job to make sure new products actually work. It's really a fun job most of the time. In this case, I didn't know someone else had been playing with it already. I picked up the cattle prod and quickly found out that you shouldn't grab it on the live end, if it's turned on and the safety is off. OUCH * SURPISE * MAYHEM. This is a tool to be treated with respect.
