This 34 inch long shock prod is made to keep your animals in order. It has 2 settings of shocking power, low and high. Runs on 4 C batteries and has a safety switch for user safety. Unfortunately for Mike, our staff product tester, the safety was off when he was reviewing it and he felt the power of this device on the low setting. He said, "the unexpectedness was worse than the actual shock, but it surely got my attention."
It's my job to make sure new products actually work. It's really a fun job most of the time. In this case, I didn't know someone else had been playing with it already. I picked up the cattle prod and quickly found out that you shouldn't grab it on the live end, if it's turned on and the safety is off. OUCH * SURPISE * MAYHEM. This is a tool to be treated with respect.
