This book was a disappointement. Whereas it is a well written "how to" manual, it fails miserably on instructional photos and/or illustrations. I was expecting, at minimum, illustrations showing the step-by-step methods on how to bind someone safely and properly. The few knots that have illustrations don't have proper visual descriptions on how to tie them. In a manual such as this, "a photo is worth a thousand words" was lost on the author. Having said that, it was well written with a prose that was easy to follow. The background and support information was extensive and pertinent. The subject material was written in a sobre, no-nonsense manner that treated the reader like a mature adult and not like a weird devient. In this regard, the author excelled at the task. I was left with the feeling: "Great! I've got the rope now... but I really still don't know how to do this right." More pictures and illustrations would have made this book excellent.

This book is the best guide possible for bondage - I'd like to translate it in italian, if only there were a publisher avalaible to print it!!
