I am no fan of metal handcuffs and I was not happy to see these turn up at Christmas. I have had a bad experience with abrasion caused by a previous pair of police like handcuffs. I avoided wearing these until into the new year. When they did make an appearance I soon found my wrists secured behind me. They are comparitavely comfortable and have so far caused no abrasions. But they are very, very restrictive.
