I bought this for myself and my sub, as we are trying to keep things interesting and fresh, but at the same time find new things that either one or both of us really like.
I didn't want to invest too much just yet, not knowing if I would like it or he would like it, but...this. is. the. best.
The collar does not leave any fabric burning from friction because of the neoprene padding, but the nylon strap is strong enough to withstand pulling and tugging without concern for snapping the link.
My only complaint is that the collar is a little small for his neck, but it is still able to velcro, there is just a 3 inch gap where no neoprene padding covers. My solution was to place the exposed area of the collar on the nape of his neck, where it could likely have been his jacket or backpack that caused a mark, should one appear.
All in all, this is a wonderful product! OH! And I use the end of the leash as a whip and it packs a nice sting.

This was a very good first collar to buy. It's pretty cheap and the material molds well and easily to the neck. The velcro makes for a perfect fit. The width was fine by me and my partner didn't seem to mind. The included leash is a definite bonus.

Ever since I bought this it seems like it has become a part of me. The only thing not to love is the width of the collar. Other than that it is definately worth the money. At night i'm usually tied via the leash to a post on the bed and sleep with the collar on every night. If I roll around then I'm forced to wake up from the leash. Love that little reminder even in my sleep of my role. Great product that is a must have for anybody interested in getting into bsdm.

You can't go wrong at this price. Especially if you are a "beginner". Collar is easy to put on and she said it was comfortable to wear. Collar comes off and on in a flash which is a pro for us. Personally we liked the lack of leather as it isn't as stiff nor does it have the potent smell of other collars.
