Hi and welcome to the first ever BDSM Monday! Everyone who participates this week and posts a comment here will be entered in our kick-off drawing for some waterproof vibrating nipple clamps! Yay! I gave a lot of thought to what I would do for our first BDSM Monday Meme. It’s hard to be open and interesting while keeping my personal stuff personal (this is, after all, my work!). In the weeks to come, I’m sure I will hit my stride, but much like the first post in a new blog, I found myself intimidated by the blank slate of a new style of MEME. So, I thought I’d share with you all my introduction to Extreme Restraints and the BDSM lifestyle (other than Ann Rice’s Beauty series) which I got after my interview here at XR. Meet the Marketing helmet. If you’re bad, or good, or in general loosing the marshmallow war, you get ‘the helmet’.

  1. this meme deal is one of the most interesting concepts I’ve run across…

Anyhow as individual differences vary in too many ways, there need be a reference thing that people can relate to. Let’s see, from Homeric verse to the Cha-Cha, rhythm lets many diverse people interact in sync. Rhythm as an essential component of sex. Perhaps if one named a popular song as soundtrack, such would help people to understand each other in this context better.

A while back I thought to build a vibrator that changed settings along with a sound source. Everyone just looked at me funny. The other day I passed Good Vibrations and decided to settle the issue by asking the staff if they thought I was an idiot or not. Turns out they had one that plugged into a ipod on the shelf. So, I guess I’m not that big of an idiot after all.

  2. Hey Mike, thanks for your comment. eXtreme Restraints carries the OhMiBod and the BodiTalk vibrators for use with a MP3 player or Cell phone respectively that work on transferring the vibrations of sound into stimulation vibrations. So no, you’re definitely not crazy.

  3. Thanks, it’s reassuring when others “get it” By the way, you could think of a fantasy as a movie played in your imagination. Well, movies have soundtracks and scores for a reason right? Loosely put - to enhance the emotional impact of the movie. Happy music to happy parts, sad music to sad parts. So what if it’s only playing in your imagination. The soundtrack (real or a tune playing in your head) would enhance the impact of the fantasy in an analogous manner.

  4. My favorite sexual fantasies involve a soundtrack! They always do. The music is usually flamenco or some kind of sexy blues with lots of alto or bass saxaphone. Flamenco music is so passionate and expressive, I can’t hear it without thinking of power exchange and the give an take of great love making. It’s great S&M scene music too, erotic, powerful, it builds and regresses and builds again.

But, yes, my most erotic mental fantasies involve music too.
